UROLOGY | Petition to the AUA

Over the past 14 years, MicroGenDX has served patients and providers in dealing with troublesome infections.  We are proud to inform you that we are making progress with the Infectious Disease community as the Infectious Disease Society of America (IDSA) recently became the first society to recommend NGS for infections.  Specifically, IDSA lists NGS as the diagnostic tool for Skin and Soft Tissue Infections.  We're confident we will soon expand our endorsement to other infection types.

As a provider treating urologic infections, we have you in mind by setting our sights on the American Urological Association (AUA) to ask for their endorsement of NGS in their upcoming updated Recurrent Uncomplicated Urinary Tract Infections (UTIs) in Women: AUA/CUA/SUFU Guideline.  We believe success in this endeavor will benefit your patients, your practice, other laboratories in this space and the entire healthcare system, by moving commercial insurance plans to change their position on NGS testing for microbial identification.
