We’re pleased to announce that on January 6-7th of 2025 MicroGenDX will be moving into a new, state-of-the-art facility in Lubbock, Texas. This expansion marks an important milestone in our mission to deliver clinically actionable insights to providers and to advance microbial diagnostics. Our larger, modernized lab features expanded capacity and improved resources, designed to help us scale our operations and improve the quality of our testing processes.
With the new facility, we’ve brought our clinical diagnostics team and our life research division (RTL Genomics) together under one roof. This integration will enhance collaboration between our teams, accelerating R&D efforts to improve the science and technology behind our NGS-centric, diagnostic solutions. We’re committed to continuous innovation and research, with projects aimed at introducing new features to our testing services–like our recent Urine Pathogenicity Report–so our providers can get more actionable insight from our tests.
Our upgraded lab space features increased capacity to efficiently process a larger volume of samples. Equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic tech, our team can actualize its plan for a streamlined workflow to help accommodate a wider array of sample types.
RTL Genomics, known for partnerships with the CDC, NASA, and NIH, now has greater capacity to conduct impactful life sciences research. With increased machine capacity and resources, RTL is better equipped to explore complex microbial ecosystems and advance our understanding of human and environmental microbiomes.
These research initiatives directly enhance the quality of our diagnostic products and provide healthcare providers with insights that can be applied in clinical practice, particularly in the wound care space. Moreover, both industry and public-sector clients can gain deeper research insights, across a variety of use cases such as product efficacy studies, microbial community characterizations, or metagenomic analyses.
Our new location also develops our footprint in Lubbock’s local medical and research community, including ongoing collaborations with Texas Tech University. By investing in Lubbock’s growing life sciences scene, we’re fostering a vibrant network of partnerships to support advancements in the diagnostic sciences.
