Level 2 – NGS compares the DNA to a library of over 50,000 microbial species.

*New York orders will only run qPCR for gene resistance followed by NGS, which compares the DNA to a library of over 50,000 microbial species.

If you select that you would like additional testing we will also run a discrete test using PCR that checks for:

• Syphilis (Treponema pallidum)
• and/or
• Herpes Simplex (HSV-1 & HSV-2)
